Quoting some lines from his entry:

ETA: 2:00 a.m. Mountain Standard Time, March 6: </a></b></a>[info]acari has linked me to a phenomenal post that gives a much better summary of what this virus is doing than I have given here. Please read it. It contains an answer to a question people have been asking a lot today: what are those Russian/Cyrillic LJs that keep randomly friending my account? They are bots, apparently, and should not be friended back. Otherwise, they may track your posts. :/

HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM LOW TECH FAIRLY INGENIOUS HACKERS
By Sam Starbuck, Age 29 1/2

PLEASE NOTE: These hackers usually target high-traffic journals and moderators of high-traffic communities. If you are either of the aforementioned, you are especially at risk. If you do not moderate any comms and have a relatively small flist you are not high-risk for this hack.

Do take care of yourselves(and your journal, too).

I'm feeling: worried
